The job
You will build the technical bridge between Forty Eight and hotel operations, starting with the connection paths most frequently used by the founding cohort.
What you will own
- Availability, rate, reservation and cancellation flows with hotel systems.
- Idempotency, retries, webhooks, reconciliation and operational visibility.
- Tools that let the team diagnose failed or ambiguous booking states quickly.
- Technical relationships with PMS and channel-manager providers.
First six months
- Map the real systems used by committed hotels and rank connection priorities.
- Ship one reliable end-to-end connection and a safe fallback workflow.
- Build monitoring and reconciliation before connection volume grows.
- Document a repeatable integration pattern for the next providers.
What we are looking for
- Strong backend engineering experience with third-party APIs and asynchronous workflows.
- A habit of designing for failure, traceability and manual recovery.
- Comfort reading imperfect documentation and working directly with external technical teams.
- Hospitality systems experience is useful, but not required.
